Floating hotel, MS Soleil, has just 34 cabins, enabling a friendly atmosphere and good level of service. Facilities on board include an outdoor swimming pool and sundeck, where we can lie back and marvel at life on the banks of the Nile as we glide past.
Enjoy cruising along the longest river in the world. We cover the Egyptian stretch between Luxor and Aswan encompassing many fascinating sights and historic legends. We include guided tours of mighty temples, such as Karnak and Luxor, plus the tombs of the Valley of the Kings. There is also an opportunity to fly to mesmerising Abu Simbel.
Day 1 Home Port – Luxor
Fly to Luxor and transfer to our river cruise boat.
Day 2 Luxor – Edfu
West Bank sightseeing of the Necropolis of Thebes, including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon statues before cruising to Edfu.
Day 3 Edfu – Aswan
Visit mighty Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus before sailing to Kôm Ombo and onward to Aswan.
Day 4 Aswan
Sightseeing of the High Dam and Philae Temple complex on Agilika Island. In the afternoon we sail on a felucca boat, passing by a botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.
Day 5 Aswan – Abu Simbel (option by air)– Kôm Ombo
A free day in Nubian-influenced Aswan, with time to visit the fascinating markets or take an optional half day excursion by air to the great Temple of Abu Simbel. Afternoon at leisure before cruising back to Kôm Ombo for an overnight stop.
Day 6 Kôm Ombo – Luxor
Sightseeing includes a visit to the magnificent Temple of Kôm Ombo, dedicated to falcon and crocodile gods. Spend the afternoon leisurely cruising to Luxor.
Day 7 Luxor
Morning tour of some of the amazing East Bank sites: the wonderful Temple of Luxor with its giant columns and avenue of sphinxes and the enormous complex of Karnak.
Day 8 Luxor – Cairo
Transfer to the airport for our return flight arriving Cairo the same day.

Day 8 – 10 Cairo
A visit to Egypt would not be complete without seeing the Sphinx and Pyramids. We spend one day sightseeing with lunch taken out in a local restaurant. Visit the mighty Pyramids, the colossal statue of the Sphinx and the Museum of Cairo, which is filled with an array of wonderful treasures. Our second day in Cairo is at leisure.
Day 11 Cairo to Home Port
Transfer to the airport for our return flight arriving London the same day.
